Moving to colorado?

Hey there....i need some helpful info about Denver Colorado. I live in Des Moines, IA currently and i am planning on moving to Denver (or one of its suburbs) in about 6-9 months after i get my BA degree.I am originally from Bosnia, and been living in DSM for 7 years, and its just most boring city i ever lived in. Could anyone help me with info on good areas where to get an apartment? Is aurora ok%26gt;%26gt; i will be going for Masters at University of Colorado in Denver as well. Maybe some info on weather and how hard it is to get a job there? any other info i might need before i move there, i'll take....thanks

You will love Colorado! And the best part is that there really is no "Bad Neighborhoods" per se. I live in Denver (close to Lowry AFB area) and have lived here off and on for over 20 years, and have lived all over Denver Metro area, Boulder, and Co Sprs, and because I was an Out Reach Worker, I drove all over Colorado, depending on my job position at the time. I moved here from New York City, and found that although I also love N.Y, Denver is a better place to raise a family. I also worked for the University of Colorado at Denver, and that is a great college to attend. Now if you will be going to the campus Downtown, i would suggest you consider Lo Do as a great location to reside in as you would be in the heart of the city and its beautiful down there. But, don't pick Capital Hill close to Colfax Ave because that is an area that is kind of like a strip for the street type of people (crack, drugs dealers, whores, etc...) but even there its not so bad that you couldn't drive thought it or even walk if you had to, but its best not to live there, but its also close to downtown, just on the other side of it. But Lo do is fun and there are all types of stores and places to go out to in the night and its SAFE. So I hope this helps you and if I can help you in any more just let me know and let me know when you coming, as I may be able to help you further.
