Both me and my wife live in Aurora area, but work up north about 1.5 hours each way. My wife makes more money than me and has better benefits (free company lunches everyday, free health ins. for herself, works a day a week from home) than me. We have 3 kids who all go to daycare, and the oldest is about to start school this fall, and we have to send her to a private school. I get twice monthly, and right now 1 of my checks goes straight to paying monthly daycare. Once school starts, grade K for my oldest, and pre-K for the middle child, that is going to be even more $$$ monthly. I have proposed an idea to my wife of me staying home with the kids and working a part time job ( I can make $1000.00 monthly delivering newspapers, plus some weekend work) to make just as much money a month as I do right now in a half of month. My wife is supportive of this and knows we lose alot of money with daycare. Is this a good idea? Any potental problems with working off hours than your wife? Thnx

It sounds like a very good idea to me, so long as you think you can cope all right with the kids. I am sure they will love having their dad looking after them.
