Just replaced the radiator, The cooling fans worked before. but now they won't come on even when A/C is on. I checked the fan motor and they work. Car ran up to 230 degrees and still no fans. I have checked the basic fuses, Does anyone know where the relays for fans are? . can there be something else wrong? I had a 1995 Olds Aurora with the Northstar v8 4.0 and it ran hot like 225 to 235 degrees in city but came down to 200 degrees on highway, never had problem's with the olds but with the Caddi i don't want to take a chance. Any help on the normal temp for the deville and why fans not coming on??? Thanks

Open your hood....look straight down, along the inside of the radiator. Right in between the cooling fans, at the bottom of the radiator, you are going to see 3 black boxes with wires hooked to them. These are your radiator fan relays. They are known for going bad, especially in the older Caddys.
Underneath the front bumper, you will see a black plastic shield held on by 3 bolts. Remove this plastic shield. If you look right in the center of the lower radiator support, you will see a bracket held in place by a single bolt. This bracket holds the 3 relays in place. Remove the bolt, reach up past the radiator support and work the relays down so you can see them. Remove the electrical connectors from the relays. Take a look at the relays and the electrical connections. There is a pretty good chance you are going to find an electrical meltdown either on the relay, electrical connector or both.
Hope this helps....

therm?? bad fan motor??? loose wire?
Sounds like someone forgot to rehook the temp sensor when the radiator was replaced. They probably unplugged the fan to git it out of the way to remove radiator.....George
