How to extract the "introductory" part of a DVD?

How to extract the "introductory" part of a DVD

I have a DVD that is self-made by one of my colleagues, and I would

like to extract the "introductory" part of the DVD (the little intro

that plays before the menu of the DVD is displayed).

To use the "FRIENDS" DVD as an example: before it shows the choice of

episodes and the menu, there is a small intro which displays the

Warner Bros. logo. I'd like to extract THAT part of the DVD,

and have no idea how to.

I've tried some programs like Aurora Media Workshop, and DVD decoder.

Even though they successfully extract the file and I can watch the DVD

without inserting the actual CD, but I still have no idea as to how to

solely extract the intro part as an individual file.

Any suggestions and help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

I would do this by using a program such as DVD shrink that allows you to pick the different sections of the movie you want, and make a new dvd. After that, use another program that can convert from dvd format to the format you would like. Basically, it would have to be a dvd ripping program that can do this.
