these should work great. but think once again about the 500 GB harddrive, i would have suggested 2x250 instead of 1x500. and don't you think that an 8800 woud have been better than the ati one?

I would use an AMD processor, great for games and lower cost.
I would at least consider a Nvidia 8800 GT.
I think if you need a really rig...u should use 8800gts and use 3GB or 4GB but note that 4 gb can only use 3.5gb unless is 64bit. If u are planning very good game i suggest u use sli 2x 8800gts cause ur screen is big. Unless you buy a 19 inch screen instead. If u use SLI..u should upgrade ur power supply.
Sure, however I would reconsider the video card. At this point in time you are gonna get much better bang for your buck going with an Nvidia based card. Other than that, it looks great.
Graphics card is good, and those that state the 8800 GT is better, the are right but the problem is that the 8800 GT is more money. The bang for the buck is the HD 3870. Of course, this will depend on the chipset of the motherboard.
As for the HDD, I would have a question mark there as I have not heard much about Samsung HDDs.
