It is a 95---barely has 100,000 miles on it. Should last for another 190,000 miles more... As long as it performes--- she is good to go...
theres several ways. just because a shop tells you that look out. i had a shop tell me that once and it turned out to be a bad coil. the best place to tell the condition of the engine is to do a compretion test. unless it's obviously knocking. if it's just not running correctly it could be something else causing it. good luck
There are many things that can go wrong with an engine. Some things can be repaired or repalced, even many internal items like pistons and so forth. Copression testing is a great way to tell if an engine is worn out, but it isnt neccessarily warranting a new engine. You can still rebuild and such, depending on just how worn it is. A good technitian is key to find out just how worn it is. Repalcement is neccesary if a rod goes through the block or if the block is overly warped or cracked in any way. Some Technitians can weld cracked blocks but normally is a temp fix. There are many other severe reason to replace your engine, but as I said there is also many ways to rebuild and replace to keep an engine running.
If it knocks, rattles and smokes badly, and fails enough tests to warrant replacement, then do it. However, first take it to a reputable garage to make sure there isn't just something simple wrong with it.
when old motor won't run anymore
